AFTERCARE

DO:

  • Leave the bandage on your new tattoo for 2 hours after getting tattooed.

  • After removing the bandage, wash your new tattoo with mild antibacterial soap and water and pat dry with a CLEAN towel or paper towel.

  • After rinsing your new tattoo, apply a THIN coat of plain, unscented, white hand-lotion.  We suggest using Lubriderm, Curel, Aveeno, or any of the generic versions of these products.

  • Apply lotion to tattoo 2-3 times daily for 7-10 days .  Your tattoo should take approximately 10-14 days to heal.

  • After your tattoo has healed (AT LEAST 2 weeks) apply sunscreen whenever your tattoo will be exposed to direct sunlight.

  • Keep your new tattoo clean.  Rinse it in the shower, but do not soak it.

DON'T:

  • Avoid wearing tight fitting clothing that will rub against and irritate your new tattoo.
